Why should I have a wedding video?
Whilst photographs are beautiful, they cannot capture the sounds of laughter, the witty speeches, the little wink and squeeze of a hand that a video can. Many of our brides and grooms say they did not realise how much of the day they had missed. A DVD brings your day back to life for generations upon generations to enjoy. Just think of the look on your children's faces when they see you walking down the aisle.
Why should I pay for a videographer when many of my friends and relatives have camcorders?
I use professional broadcast quality equipment which will provide the correct lighting and sound clarity that is required for a professional production. This together with my experience and professional editing techniques and software packages will ensure you have a wedding DVD you will be thrilled with.
What will be the running time of my DVD?
This will depend on the package, ceremony and the events that take place during your day. On an average it will run for approximately 60 - 90 minutes.
Can we discuss the project with you?
Of course you can, you can request a meeting before the wedding, and during this meeting we can discuss all the finer details and your specific requests so we can put together the perfect package for you.
How soon after the wedding will my DVD be ready?
On average it normally takes between six and eight weeks, delivery time may be longer during peak periods but you will be notified of this before you decide to book.
Will the videographer be discreet?
Yes if that is what you require. I use Broadcast quality cameras with professional lenses, and lapel microphones which enable me to get fantastic footage and sound from a distance. If on the other hand you would prefer that I was closer to the action so that all the surrounding sounds are included in the audio that can be done. It's your choice and will be discussed at your pre-meeting.
Please tell me more about copyright issues
Copyright licences will have to be obtained for Hymns or music at the service together with any commercial music dubbed onto the DVD or disco music played for your reception. These are included in the price of our packages and will be applied for by ourselves - another thing off your mind. The copyright of your finished wedding video production will be owned by the video producer.
Do you have insurance cover?
I am insured by Tower gate Camera Sure with £2 million public liability and £50 000 professional indemnity cover.
What equipment do you use?
Professional Sony, high definition, DV Cam Broadcast Cameras are used. The sound is recorded with Sony radio microphones alongside Rhode, Sony and Senheiser wired microphones. A combination of professional studio microphones and tie clip radio microphones ensure that the best quality sound is captured. If lighting is required a Camera mounted light and studio lighting with shoot through or reflective umbrellas are used. Editing is with Final Cut Studio on Apple Mac duel processor computers. All DVD authoring is done in DVD Studio Pro.
Will my finished DVD have menus?
Yes all our Wedding DVDs come standard as authored with a fully interactive scene selection menu.
